Tulips in the Springtime

Today I was thinking about the beautiful tulips that I planted and grew for Mom and Dad a couple of years ago. I got the bulbs from a bulb company that specializes in tulips and planted them in the Fall. Then in the spring, they came up like crazy and were really beautiful. This is a picture of some of them in the picture by our fountain. I also had a variety of other colors that year including bright yellow, peachy orange, and a blend between orange and white and yellow that were just gorgeous. Dad (and Mom) both enjoyed them, and I had planted them in large pots and set them on a table on the patio deck so they could look out and see them. I'll include a few more pictures of them in a later post. Tulips are hearty and pretty easy to raise. The key is planting them at the right time and then watering them often and being patient while they grow. They produce beautiful flowers of different colors (depending on the variety) and they are elegant and strong and can be put in bouquets and vases.
